Stochastic dynamics of reactive and living systems
External member: O. Bénichou (LPTMC)
The study of out-of-equilibrium processes, and its application to the modeling of different physicochemical systems, are at the center of the team's research. Living cells are the most prominent example of such physicochemical systems. We combine the development of new analytical methods and the modeling of real systems, from the single particle scale (random walks, (bio) chemical reactivity and in particular transcription and search for a target) to the level of collective behavior (motility and cellular polarization).
