Centrosome positioning at the cell center, is it that simple?

Abstract

During this seminar I will present the current models of centrosome positioning based on pulling and/or pushing forces produced on microtubules. Then, showing experimental data and numerical simulations I will argue that the mechanism may have been overlooked and more complex than we first thought. I won't solve the problem though, but argue for the need of new models and new experimental approaches to progress on this burning question: where is the cell center?
