Marc Van Der Hofstadt a étudié la biotechnologie à l'Université de Barcelone, où il a obtenu son master en 2011. En 2016, il a obtenu son doctorat en Nanosciences, à l'Institut de Bioingénierie de Catalogne (IBEC) et à l'Université de Barcelone, où il a travaillé au développement d’une caractérisation bioélectrique à l’échelle nanométrique. Depuis août 2017, il a rejoint le LJP dans le groupe Morphomol en tant que Post-Doc pour travailler sur l'interaction de réseaux réactionnels et de systèmes vivants.
